Yes I am one of those that take my 2005 GMC Yukon X C1500 to a quick lube place for its oil changes, but after they gave me the laundry list of recommendations to change all my fluids from coolant, transmission, power steering to differential I knew I needed to take it to Mike’s Auto Repair Huntington beach to get the straight answer.
I have been a customer of Mike’s Auto Repair for many years for all my major repair work on My GMC Yukon C1500. I have trusted Mike and his ASE certified technicians not only with my Yukon, but other family vehicles too. They inspected my GMC Yukon and concurred that the differential fluid was dirty, but also found it to be leaking. Mike’s tech noted the fluids would eventually need to be changed, but at this time felt they were all in good condition for my upcoming trip. Importantly, what I realized is the quick lube place never documented or shared with me the condition of my brakes or belts and both ended up to be a concern. The pads were extremely low and rotors undersized and the belts measured under specifications. Not good for a long trip.
Mike’s Auto Repair took care of my front and rear brake repair, performed a differential service and sealed the leak and replaced all of my drive belts on my 2005 GMC Yukon X C1500 completely done before the 4th of July! Angela E. Huntington Beach, CA
