Mike’s Auto Repair in Huntington Beach has been our choice for automotive repair for the last three years. We recently moved to South Orange County and we tried a couple of other repair shops to diagnose why our brakes were occasionally getting hot and brake peddle would get so hard it was like not having power brakes. It was scary. The repair shops I took my Chrysler Town & Country van too couldn’t diagnose the problem. The brake pads were in good condition. I almost felt like I was imagining the problem. After driving on the 73 freeway one afternoon I could smell my brakes burning again. I didn’t hesitate this time and called Mike and explained the symptoms I was experiencing. He almost immediately had a hunch what it was, but like any “good doctor”, he needed to see the “patient” first. I called AAA (thank goodness for the 100 mile tow) and they towed our van to Mike’s. After a couple of hours Mike confirmed his diagnosis that the brake power booster was failing and the brake master cylinder was also worn. We had them replaced and I was back on the 73 freeway the next day. I couldn’t be happier and will stick with Mike’s Auto Repair – it is worth the distance. Roberta D. Laguna Hills, CA
